A concealed cistern is an in-wall flush tank system where the water reservoir sits hidden behind the wall, leaving only the flush plate visible on the surface. Built for wall hung WC and back-to-wall toilet installations, these in-wall cisterns replace exposed flush tanks in commercial and premium washroom projects.
Most commercial washrooms still run exposed flush tanks. Bulky, difficult to clean around, and inconsistent with the finish quality of everything else in the building. Euronics concealed cisterns fix that problem across airports, hospitals, corporate offices, and premium hospitality projects across India our products are installed Mall chains and institutional facilities where washroom performance is part of the building brief.
Types of Concealed Cisterns
Wall structures, WC configurations, and depth constraints vary by project. Euronics covers every installation scenario.
-
Full Frame Concealed Cistern Steel frame included.
Carries the structural load of the wall hung WC bowl. The standard specification for commercial washrooms, airports, hospital corridors, and any high-traffic project where the cistern needs to support the toilet under continuous daily use. Most contractors on institutional fitouts won't specify anything else.
-
Half Frame Concealed Cistern
Partial frame with solid support in a reduced footprint. For modern bathrooms where wall depth is limited but a completely frameless setup isn't the right call. Good balance of structural integrity and space efficiency.
-
Frameless Concealed Cistern
Sits inside masonry or brick walls using the existing structure for support. No separate frame needed. Standard choice for compact urban washroom retrofits and projects where adding a full frame isn't feasible or necessary.
Features of Concealed Cisterns
-
Clean Aesthetic:
No Visible Hardware Only the flush plate sits on the wall surface. Tank, frame, pipework, all behind the finish. In a hotel washroom, premium office, or hospital ward, that visual difference is noticed by every user. It also removes the external surfaces that collect dust and moisture on traditional exposed flush tanks. -
Dual Flush Mechanism
where 6/3 Litre Operation Half flush for liquid waste, full flush for solid waste. Standard 6/3 litre dual flush operation reduces water consumption without affecting flush performance. Across a commercial building running multiple washrooms daily, that saving compounds significantly. For facilities with water efficiency or green building targets, this is a documented contribution.
-
PP and HDPE Cistern Body
Polypropylene and high-density polyethylene cistern bodies resist corrosion, mineral buildup, and the temperature variation typical of Indian commercial buildings. Material quality here is what separates a cistern that performs for a decade from one that needs replacement in three years.
- Silent Flush and Refill
Flushing and tank refill at significantly lower noise levels than exposed cistern systems. Relevant in corporate offices, hotel rooms, and healthcare facilities where washroom noise carries through walls into adjacent spaces. -
High Load-Bearing Capacity
Full frame systems rated for wall hung WC installations under commercial load conditions. Not residential ratings pushed into commercial settings. Actual structural performance tested for the daily pressure of busy airport terminals and hospital wings. -
Sensor Flush and Automation Compatible
Euronics concealed cisterns integrate with automatic flush valves and sensor-based flushing systems for touchless washroom infrastructure. No retrofit complications. For smart washroom projects, this compatibility matters from day one of the specification.
-
Maintenance Access
Through Flush Plate All servicing runs through the flush plate opening. Inlet valve, flush valve, and water level adjustment all reachable without cutting into the wall or removing tiles. In a concealed system, that access design is the difference between quick routine maintenance and a major disruption.
Concealed vs Exposed Cistern
| Parameter | Euronics Concealed Cistern | Traditional Exposed Tank |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Flush plate only | Full tank on wall |
| Hygiene | No exterior tank surface | Dust and moisture accumulate |
| Space Usage | Wall depth only | Projects into washroom |
| Noise | Silent flush and refill | Audible fill noise |
| Material | PP / HDPE body | Varies, often ceramic |
| Water Efficiency | 6/3L dual flush standard | Single flush typical |
| Commercial Load Rating | High-traffic rated | Light to moderate |
| Automation Compatibility | Sensor flush ready | Limited |
| Maintenance Access | Through flush plate | External tank |
Installation and Maintenance
Installation
- Select cistern type based on wall structure and WC configuration. Full frame for wall hung WC. Frameless for masonry walls. Slim format where wall depth is under 120mm. Getting this right at specification stage avoids costly rework on site during the fit-out phase.
- Prepare the wall cavity or drywall partition. Frame cisterns need a built-out partition sized to the cistern body dimensions. Frameless models go directly into existing masonry without additional structure preparation.
- Secure the frame and set installation height. Full frame models bolt to floor and wall. Height and projection from the wall are set at this stage to align with the WC pan specification. Errors here affect toilet seat height at handover.
- Connect water inlet and outlet connections. Inlet to building water supply. Outlet to WC pan. All connections tested inside the wall cavity before any boarding, plastering, or tiling begins.
- Board, tile, and fit the flush plate. Wall finishing proceeds once connections are confirmed leak-free. Flush plate fits into the pre-cut access opening as the final installation step.
- Confirm dual flush volumes before handover. Half flush and full flush volumes verified on-site. Adjust settings if the project requires specific 6/3 litre or custom volume configurations.
Maintenance
- All access runs through the flush plate opening. Inlet valve, flush valve, and float adjustment all reachable without cutting walls or disturbing tile work. Routine checks take minutes.
- Flush plate removal is tool-free. Most Euronics flush plates clip out without tools so maintenance teams can inspect internals quickly during routine washroom rounds.
- Leak confirmation is visual. Through the plate opening, connections are visible and dry-checked during each service visit. No specialist equipment needed.
- Spare parts stocked Pan-India. Inlet valves, flush valves, and flush plates available through Euronics' network covering Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, not just metro locations.
Why Choose Euronics Concealed Cisterns?
-
Two decades in commercial washroom infrastructure:
Not a sanitaryware brand that added cisterns as a catalogue item. Euronics built the washroom automation ecosystem first. The concealed cistern sits inside that complete system—connected to sensor flush, automatic flushing valves, and smart washroom infrastructure from day one. -
India's largest washroom automation manufacturing facility:
Designed, tested, and assembled in-house. Warranty, spare parts, and service accountability sit with the same company. No third-party manufacturer in the chain with no post-sale obligation. - Installed across mall chains, hospitals, and corporate campuses across hospitality, healthcare, and transport. These environments specify full frame in-wall cisterns under real commercial load and measure performance across years of operation.
-
Sensor flush and smart washroom compatible:
Euronics is the only brand in this position concealed cisterns as part of a touchless, automation-integrated washroom system. For smart commercial washroom projects, that matters at the specification stage. -
Tested by agencies:
Independent testing for structural load, leak resistance, flush volume accuracy, and material performance. Documentation available on request for procurement and compliance teams. -
Warranty and AMC backed
Standard warranty per model. AMC contracts for institutional accounts covering parts and labor.
